  • PWN Zug & Zurich VP Marcom and Board Member

    LOCAL ROLE

     

    Role description

    PWN Zug & Zurich VP Marketing and Communications leads the communication strategy and its implementation, including online presence, social media, web and public relations. She/he is responsible for maintaining and developing the PWN chapter's brand image as well as for raising awareness for a more gender-balanced professional environment. The VP MarCom builds communities online, creating relevant content and promoting PWN Zug & Zurich events and activities.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Stays up to date about gender-balanced initiatives, research and articles to share on PWN ZZ social media channel
    • Liaises with PWN Global and other chapters to promote relevant activities for our members
    • Promotes PWN ZZ events on the web, email marketing and social channels, including the creation of copy, visual or/ and videos
    • Creates articles telling relevant stories that align with PWN strategy and values
    • Maintain web with regular updates on messaging and events
    • Contact person for media relations and relevant groups aligned with PWN's mission
    • Ensures PWN brand consistency across all communication through event promotion, flyers, website, social media and PR materials
    • Recruitment and management of volunteers under Marcom need if needed
    • As part of the board, she/he is part of the decision on the future of the network, initiatives, partnerships and events for PWN Zug & Zurich members

     

    Background

    • Leadership experience managing teams and working at the senior management level
    • Hands-on attitude with the ability to define strategy as well as implement it by using different communication and marketing tools and platforms 
    • Experience managing corporate social media accounts and writing compelling stories 
    • Video editing skills are valuable 
    • Committed team player with the ability to work with autonomy
    • Passionate about the cause of promoting women's professional progress and ready to volunteer personal time to PWN Zug & Zurich's mission and success

  • PWN Global: International Mentoring Project Manager

    GLOBAL ROLE

    The International Mentoring PM will work with the Global Executive Lead: Mentoring to brainstorm ideas, develop and implement an International mentoring program within PWN Global. 

    The International Mentoring program aims to support women, PWN members, to find their ways, progress, develop their leadership and decision-making skills and embrace their growth in an international environment.

  • PWN Zug & Zurich Secretary General and Treasurer (VP Finance) and Board Member

    LOCAL ROLE

    Role Description

    The Secretary General and Treasurer is the primary steward of the PWN Zug & Zurich’s financial resources and is responsible for ensuring that the administrative and financial requirements of the association are managed in line with the statutes and bye-laws and local regulations. The Secretary General and Treasurer has an active part on the Board, serves as an advisor.

    This includes budgeting, managing the accounts in conjunction with an external provider and with the elected auditors.

    Responsibilities

    > Managing the financial processes within the association, including:

    • Reviewing the revenue information received from PWN Global
    • Overseeing the management of the external accountant and managing the information flow
    • Treasury and payment processing
    • Reconciling bank account and following up on any returned payments or errors
    • Collects and files key documents related to every transaction

    > Liaising with the auditors and coordinating the yearly audit

    > Yearly Budgeting

    > Ensuring the Annual General Assembly is convened and proper documentation thereof is prepared

    > Presenting the PWN Zug & Zurich financial results and annual budget at the Annual General Assembly

     

    Time Commitment

    This role may require a weekly average of 2-3 hours– primarily spent on responding to emails, payment of invoices and expenses and reconciliation, preparing documentation for accountants, Board meetings and supporting the rest of the Board members.

     

    Background

    > Minimum of 6 years business, management or leadership experience, in an international environment

    > Understanding of accounting principles and association management

    > Demonstrated experience in accounting and budgeting

    > Exposure to governmental and not for profit organizations desirable
